I am currently enrolled at an accredited two- or four-year university, or have just completed my degree, or am beginning my degree this fall I have been accepted for a summer internship in the greater Washington DC area for at least four (4) weeks this summer I currently live or have lived in Nebraska, or can otherwise demonstrate strong ties to the state

I understand that a Nebraska Society Intern Scholarship, if awarded, is contingent upon my full satisfaction of and compliance with all Eligibility Requirements and Terms and Conditions set forth in this application. I agree to forfeit and/or reimburse the remainder of my Nebraska Society Intern Scholarship if my internship is terminated with cause by the employer for whom I am working throughout the Nebraska Society Intern Scholarship. The remainder will be determined by the Nebraska Society Board of Directors based on time remaining in the internship and amount previously awarded. I agree to support the Nebraska Society throughout the duration of my internship, by attending Society meetings, events, and other activities as requested. I also agree to allow the inclusion of my name, hometown, and location of internship in Nebraska Society promotional or informational materials (for example, the Society website and Facebook). Within 30 days of the conclusion of my internship, I will provide the Nebraska Society with an essay (suggested length: 300-500 words) summarizing my internship experience.
